Six Marvelous Musicians
Six marvelous musicians,
Dancing down the street.
Swaying to the rhythm,
Playing music ever so sweet.

The first musician said,
“My violin sounds grand.”
The second musician said,
“My flute’s the best in the band.”

The third musician said,
“My bells sweetly chime.”
The fourth musician said,
“My tambourine keeps time.”

The fifth musician said,
“My drum goes rat-a-tat-tat.”
The sixth musician said,
“Oops! My horn sounds flat!”

Six marvelous musicians,
Dancing down the street.
Swaying to the rhythm,
Playing music ever so sweet.

Fingerplays:

Your Body is an Instrument
Your body is an instrument
And this is how it goes.
You click your tongue,
                [click tongue]
You smack your lips,
                [smack lips]
You sniff your little nose.
                [sniff with nose]
You clap your hands,
                [clap hands]
You slap your knees,
                [slap knees]
And then you stomp your feet.
                [stomp feet]
You click your heels together...
                [click heels together]
Making music sure is neat!

I Have a Red Accordion
I have a red accordion
With handles at each side.
                [hold hands apart]
And when I pull the handles out,
The bellows stretch so wide.
                [pull hands farther apart]
And when I push the handles in,
The bellows squeeze in tight.
                [bring hands together]
And this is how I learned to make
The music sound just right.
[move hands together and apart quickly]

Music at Our House
Mother plays the violin,
                [pretend to play the violin]
Father plays the flute.
                [pretend to play the flute]
Little brother plays the horn,
                [pretend to play the horn]
Toot-toot-toot-toot-toot!
                [clap hands]
