Boat Guessing Game
Boats! Boats! Lots of boats!
Watch them go! Watch them float!
Row! Row!
To and fro.
I am a... (row boat)
Toot! Toot!
Chug, chug, chug.
I am a... (tug boat)
Come on wind,
Blow a gale.
I am a... (sail boat)
Going fast!
Whee! Whee!
I am a... (speed boat)
Back and forth,
People I carry.
I am a... (ferry boat)
Underwater,
Blub, blub, blub.
I am a... (submarine boat)

Fingerplays:
Here is the Sea
Here is the sea, the wavy sea.
[wave hands from side to side]
Here is my boat
[cup hands]
And here is me.
[point to self]
All of the fishes
[wiggle fingers]
Down below,
[point downwards]
Wiggle their tails
[wiggle fingers]
And away they go.
Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Row, row, row your boat,
[pretend to row]
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
[lay head on hands]
Row, row, row your boat,
[pretend to row]
Gently down the stream.
If you catch a jellyfish
Wave your arms and scream.
[wave arms and scream]
Row, row, row your boat,
[pretend to row]
Gently round the lake.
Watch out for the crocodile
And look out for the snake.
[snap with hands]
Row, row, row your boat,
[pretend to row]
Gently down the river.
If you see a polar bear
Don't forget to shiver.
[hug body and shiver]
Row, row, row your boat,
[pretend to row]
Gently out to sea.
If you meet a big blue whale
Ask her home for tea.
[pretend to drink and extend pinky finger]
Five Big Boats
Five big boats sailing from the shore,
One stopped to catch some fish and then there were four.
Four big boats sailing out to sea,
One stopped to look around and then there were three.
Three big boats with so much to do,
One stopped at an island and then there were two.
Two big boats sailing under the sun,
One pulled into a port and then there was one.
One big boat sailing all alone,
That one turned around and sailed for home!
Five Little Boats
The first little boat went chug, chug, chug.
The second little boat went tug, tug, tug.
The third little boat went row, row, row.
The fourth little boat went oh so slow.
Here comes the sailboat, watch it go!
